![]() The only reason it was "hard" is because the game decided to screw me byī) causing the machete to "despawn" when I threw it.Įither way I figured out how to reset the glitched fight. (because the game gave me blades that time. I figured out how to restart the mission so I had the machete again. Then the game further screwed me by removing the machete altogether when I threw it at the demolisher. Yet on the second playthrough the game decided to not give me blades from the dead zombies so I couldn't repair the machete. On my first playthrough when I fought the demolisher in the pit, I killed him in the first try, no deaths. (another example would be going to open a door only to have a bomber pop out and instakill you with zero chance to avoid it) When the majority of deaths are due to things beyond the player's ability to avoid (such as jumping to grab a ledge and the game glitches and doesn't let you grab it) it makes the game seem harder than it actually is. The statement Artificial difficulty is an oxymoron.Īrtificial difficulty is when the game seems harder than it really is. If something is difficult then it is difficult. Originally posted by Viper:There is no such thing as artificial difficulty. for just two examples) and now I'm basically stuck because the devs decided "hey lets make this one weapon that can break and be lost the ONLY possible way to get past this segment" or CONSTANTLY not grabbing onto ledges you are clearly within reach of. 9 in 10 deaths are due to some BS mechanic (like being knocked down then hit 20 times before you can stand back up. The artificial difficulty in this game is just idiotic in the extreme. Hopefully I can restart newgame plus again without losing my nearly maxxed out stats. ![]() there's no way that I can see to restart from earlier in the mission (to get the machete back) so I'm basically ****ed. (all were blows to his head btw)īest part. Seriously 45 minutes of beating on him with pipes, floor planks, rebar, etc. Been wailing on him for 45 minutes and his health hasn't gone down any further than it was when I lost the machete. Plus if you throw the arena machete (since that's the only way to do damage once it breaks) it can disappear!! Yep! So now I'm stuck in the pit with nothing but pipes to fight the demolisher. Oh but wait, it breaks and you can run out of blades to repair it.Īll of the other weapons you get in the arena do such a hilariously minor amount of damage to the demolisher that it is virtually impossible to defeat him. Here you have to fight a demolisher with the ONLY effective weapon you have being the arena machete. Hard enemies take a lot more damage. This segment is so far beyond stupid it's not even funny. I just used both propane tanks on him, both landed right on top of him pretty much, barely got him down to 60% or so. Repeat this about 10 times and he is dead. You then want to jump down and use a power swing at the same time thereby hitting him. The demolisher will follow you and remain at the bottom. This will reduce his life to 60%.įrom this point forward, you want to use a heavy rebar from one of the broken concrete columns in the arena. Also throwing weapons as opposed to slashing/hitting deals much more damage, so try these suggestions. I have found that jumping on the Demolisher’s head from on top of the containers, takes heath off and will eventually kills him. Hit him directly with one propane tank - it explodes upon impact so be careful. On Nightmare, it does take damage but the bar is slow to go down. Each tank is on top of a seperate cargo trailer. Refresh your camo as necessary until you have killed all of the speed runners and regular zombies. You want to be "unseen" right after you hit him with the second tank so that you can sneak up on one of the speed running zombies and kill it. The reason for the camo is b/c as soon as you hit him directly with the second propane tank, which will reduce his life to 10%, the speed running zombies are unleashed.
